With the SBGX361, this aesthetic gains a new dimension thanks to the unprecedented 33 mm format—the most compact ever offered for a Grand Seiko equipped with a 9F calibre.

The stainless steel bracelet features a tapered five-link construction, composed of two polished links and three satin-brushed ones. Calibre 9F51: Grand Seiko precision in its most compact architecture

The SBGX361 is powered by the 9F51 calibre, the first new evolution of the 9F family in six years.

Since its introduction in 1993, the 9F series has pursued a clear ambition: to redefine the standards of quartz watchmaking. Here, nothing is left to automated industrial assembly. Each movement is fully assembled by hand at the Shinshu Watch Studio.

The 9F51 retains all the technical signatures that built the series’ reputation:

• Accuracy of ±10 seconds per year
• An in-house quartz oscillator aged for three months to stabilise its characteristics
• Thermal compensation performed 540 times per day to adjust for temperature variations
• Twin Pulse Control Motor delivering the torque required to drive broad hands with crisp definition
• Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism eliminating any unwanted vibration of the seconds hand

Its specific feature lies in its more compact design: its diameter is reduced by 0.6 mm compared with the 9F61 calibre. This evolution enables the creation of a 33 mm case without compromising performance or robustness.
