The Basics

The TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph was launched in 1962 in the paddocks and pit lanes of the “12 Hours of Sebring,” where Jack Heuer, present as the official timekeeper, first heard about the famous Mexican race, the “Carrera Panamericana.” This race, also known as the "Pan-Am," has been regarded as particularly dangerous since its inception.

This chronograph pays tribute to TAG Heuer’s decisive contributions to automotive timekeeping and its partnerships with the greatest car manufacturers. Among its major innovations are the Time of Trip (1911), the first dashboard chronograph for automobiles; the Mikrograph (1916), the first sports timer accurate to 1/100th of a second; and the Autavia (1933), the first 12-hour dashboard timer designed for the automotive and aviation sectors.

Since its beginnings, the Carrera collection has prioritized absolute legibility, an obsession of Jack Heuer. This focus on clarity and precision made the Carrera an instant success, adopted by watch enthusiasts and motorsport fans alike for its timeless design and clean style. Relaunched in 1996 and fully reinterpreted in 2002, the Carrera is one of TAG Heuer’s most iconic creations. It has been worn by hundreds of drivers, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Kimi Räikkönen, and Lewis Hamilton.

In 2010, to celebrate 150 years of history and reaffirm this unique bond between horological tradition and competition, the brand launched the Carrera Heritage collection. Inspired by the classic lines of historic chronographs while integrating modern technologies, it pays tribute to a century and a half of innovation in the service of speed and style.

The Model

The TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage Chronograph ref. CAS2110.FC6266 embodies the sporty elegance that defines the Carrera collection. Its 41 mm polished stainless steel case, water-resistant to 100 m, features clean, harmonious lines.

The black dial stands out with its fine guilloché wave pattern, which subtly catches the light and adds refined depth. Staying true to the Heritage spirit, it is adorned with applied, polished Arabic numerals inspired by historic TAG Heuer models from the 1940s, and rhodium-plated, gently curved hands that ensure optimal legibility.

The chronograph function is driven by three sunray-finished sub-dials:

• the 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock,
• the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, which discreetly integrates the date,
• the small seconds at 9 o’clock.

The ensemble is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, underscoring the watch’s timeless and functional character.

Finally, the piece is fitted with a black alligator leather strap with a TAG Heuer folding clasp, combining comfort, durability, and elegance—an unmistakably vintage-inspired chronograph that honors the classic Carrera while preserving its racing DNA.

The Caliber

This Carrera is powered by the automatic Calibre 16, a reliable and precise movement that has equipped TAG Heuer chronographs for many years. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals a rotor decorated with the TAG Heuer logo, a nod to the brand’s sporting heritage and technical excellence.

The Package

This TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage Chronograph is offered in excellent condition, having benefited in our workshop from a careful polish, a full inspection, and the fitting of a new strap.

It comes Full Set, with its original box (showing signs of wear), manual, and warranty card dated 2012. It also underwent a full service in 2016, ensuring proper maintenance and reliability.
