The Story

In February 2021, TAG Heuer and Porsche formalized a historic partnership, sealing the union of two worlds that have been closely connected for decades: motorsport and precision watchmaking. Since then, five joint models have been released. This Orange Racing chronograph, unveiled in 2023, is the sixth chapter of this successful collaboration and also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Carrera, first launched in 1963.
Inspired by speed, adrenaline, and the aesthetics of the racetrack, this creation embodies the shared passion for innovation and technical excellence. Its electrifying orange accents recall the sparks flying from racing cars at full speed, a powerful image immediately associated with the Porsche universe.

The Model

The Carrera x Porsche Orange Racing stands out with its 44 mm steel case coated in black DLC, alternating polished and satin finishes. The fixed black ceramic bezel is engraved with a tachymeter scale, a direct nod to the automotive vocation of the model.
Accentuated with vivid orange to evoke the racing world, the striking black dial features a texture inspired by track markings and a vertically brushed satin finish that captures the light with intensity. A true ode to speed, it ensures instant chronograph readability and asserts the sporty identity of this edition.

The watch is fitted with a black “carbon-style” calfskin strap, whose orange stitching recalls the interior aesthetics of Porsche cars. Ready to host an icon, the exclusive black case with its orange lining enhances this exceptional watch and extends the harmony of its design right into its presentation box.

The Caliber

This watch is powered by the Heuer 02 caliber, an automatic movement manufactured in-house by TAG Heuer. Visible through the sapphire caseback, it reveals an exclusive oscillating weight inspired by a Porsche steering wheel, adorned with both logos. This caliber stands out with its 80-hour power reserve, ensuring generous autonomy for daily or extended wear. Equipped with a column wheel and a vertical clutch, the movement guarantees outstanding precision and smooth chronograph function activation.

The Heuer 02 caliber is also designed for proven robustness, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Its modern architecture reduces friction, enhancing durability and ensuring reliable performance. Its display on the back of the watch, thanks to the transparent caseback, allows the wearer to admire the attention to detail in both its design and finishing.
