Tudor 1926 Luna – The brand’s first moonphase
The Tudor 1926 Luna marks a milestone in the history of the Swiss brand: the introduction of its very first moonphase complication. Launched in 2025, this novelty brings together the timeless elegance of the 1926 line, Swiss technical expertise, and the universal poetry of the moon. A timepiece that goes beyond measuring hours, becoming the symbol of an eternal cycle and Tudor’s daring vision of watchmaking.
Heritage of the 1926 Collection
The 1926 line pays tribute to the year Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex and visionary of modern watchmaking, officially registered the Tudor name. Since then, the brand has remained faithful to a clear mission: to offer the best possible quality at the best possible price. This philosophy, still at the heart of Tudor’s DNA, is expressed through watches that are reliable, robust, and refined, accessible to a wide audience without compromising on excellence.
The 1926 models stand out for their classic elegance and understated sophistication. Domed dials, applied Arabic numerals alternating with faceted arrow-shaped indexes, sword-shaped polished hands: every detail reflects Tudor’s meticulous attention to finishing, while maintaining a timeless allure.
A poetic and universal complication
A cultural and spiritual symbol, the moon holds a special place in the collective imagination. In Chinese tradition, it embodies family unity and sharing, while Roman mythology personified it as the goddess Luna. By introducing a moonphase for the very first time, Tudor marks a true revolution in its history.
Positioned at 6 o’clock, the indicator follows the lunar cycle of 29.5 days with poetic precision. Day after day, the moon disc appears and disappears behind its cut-out, faithfully reproducing the celestial ballet. A rare complication that unites Swiss precision with emotional resonance.
Three faces, three personalities
- Champagne: warm and luminous, enhanced by a golden disc designed by Tudor ambassador Jay Chou.
- Blue: deep and mysterious, evoking a starry night sky illuminated by the moon.
- Black: sober and timeless, offering a striking contrast with the brilliance of the moon disc.
This variety of aesthetics allows every enthusiast to choose a watch that resonates with their personality, while enjoying the same level of technical excellence.
