The strengths of March LA.B
A French watch brand must, according to the company's philosophy, be "horlo-responsible". Until now, for industrial and economic reasons, the mechanical self-winding movements of March LA.B watches were Japanese. The calibers are well made, reliable, recognized and assembled in France, but Japanese. Then, at the end of 2021, the wind changed. In the right direction. Ideally to hoist the mainsail and set a course due east, towards Besançon. The reason? The partnership between the Swiss engine manufacturer La Joux-Perret and the family-owned company Humbert-Droz from Besançon, which now enables the assembly of a Swiss mechanical movement from A to Z in the French watchmaking capital.
The result of this partnership? The G100, a new automatic movement with three hands and date, with a beautiful 68-hour power reserve and a proven architecture.
In detail, the G100 caliber arrives in parts - all components are designed and manufactured in Switzerland - and is entirely assembled and assembled by the watchmakers of Humbert-Droz in Bisonne. This transparent and efficient system is in line with the recent recognition by UNESCO of the watchmaking know-how of the French-Swiss Jura region.
In fct, March LA.B is once again positioning itself as a pioneer of "horlo-responsibility" with this desire to bring together skills and join forces.
March LA.B watches are made in France, and the brand is proud to claim it. It uses the undeniable know-how of French watchmaking to assemble its pieces. Its exotic leather straps (Lizard, Alligator, Buffalo...) are handmade in the March LA.B workshops in Franche-Comté, in Morteau and Besançon. The after-sales service is provided in their Parisian workshop. Guaranteed for 2 years, March LA.B watches are both precise and reliable, and are inspired by vintage models to meet the expectations of the greatest number of people.
Time and the watch structure our lives, and the color green is the symbol. At March LA.B we find an omnipresent green signature on small details that make the brand strong and unique. The stitching and the return of the leather straps are green. On the automatic models, the transparent case back is green. On the date window, the number 3 is green, a nod to the month of March, the third of the year and birth month of the founder, Alain Marhic. The color green, which offers many shades, is the designer's favorite color. For the anecdote, when he was a child, Alain Marhic always dressed in green.
Everything you need to know about March LA.B watches
March LA.B is a French watchmaking Maison founded with a clear ambition: to create distinctive timepieces that combine elegant design, high-quality craftsmanship and accessible pricing. Its aesthetic draws strong inspiration from the design language of the 1960s and 1970s, reinterpreted through clean lines, bold case shapes and carefully balanced proportions. The colour green, subtly incorporated into dials, straps and casebacks, has become one of the brand's unmistakable signatures.
March LA.B watches are assembled, adjusted and inspected in France by specialised watchmakers. The Maison works closely with partners based in the Franche-Comté region for watch assembly and leather strap manufacturing. Selected automatic models are powered by the G100 calibre, whose components are manufactured in Switzerland before being fully assembled in Besançon. This automatic movement notably delivers a power reserve of approximately 68 hours.
March LA.B's signature collections include the AM2, recognised for its angular seventies-inspired case, and the more classic, rounded AM1. The Mansart draws inspiration from the octagonal architecture of Paris' Place Vendôme, while the Belza offers a sportier personality with a screw-down crown and water resistance suited to aquatic activities. The Maison also offers the AM69, AM89, Bonzer, Lady Mansart and Lady Volante collections.
