The history of Jaeger-LeCoultre began in 1833 in the heart of Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux, when watchmaker and inventor Antoine LeCoultre transformed the family barn into a workshop. Driven by a constant pursuit of precision and innovation, the Maison gradually developed its own movements, tools and complications. Today, its watches continue to be designed, produced, assembled and decorated at the historic Manufacture in Le Sentier.

Jaeger-LeCoultre is known as “the Watchmaker of Watchmakers” because of its expertise in the creation of mechanical movements and Haute Horlogerie complications. The Manufacture brings together approximately 180 skills under one roof and has developed more than 1,400 calibres while registering over 430 patents. Throughout its history, it has also supplied movements to several prestigious Swiss watchmaking Maisons.

Choosing a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch means choosing a Haute Horlogerie timepiece combining elegance, mechanical innovation and exceptional finishing. The Maison designs its own calibres and masters complications including moon phases, striking mechanisms, chronographs, perpetual calendars and tourbillons. From the iconic Reverso to the sportier Polaris, each collection expresses a distinctive interpretation of Swiss watchmaking expertise.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s principal collections include the Reverso, renowned for its reversible rectangular case, the classically elegant Master Control and the Master Ultra Thin, distinguished by its slender proportions. The Polaris collection adopts a sport-chic identity, while the Rendez-Vous combines fine watchmaking, femininity and jewellery craftsmanship.

Created in 1931 to withstand the impacts experienced during polo matches in British India, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is distinguished by its case, which can be turned over to protect the dial. Its rectangular lines, gadroons and geometric proportions embody the Art Deco aesthetic. Today, the collection includes Monoface, Duoface and Duetto models, as well as watches featuring sophisticated complications or decorations created by the Manufacture’s Métiers Rares artisans.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control offers a contemporary interpretation of the classic round watch through Date, Calendar, Geographic, Memovox and Chronograph Calendar models. The Master Ultra Thin focuses on slender cases and exceptionally pure dials. It houses traditional complications such as moon phases, power reserves, perpetual calendars and tourbillons within particularly elegant proportions.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre 1000 Hours Control is an internal testing programme designed to assess precision, regularity, power reserve, water resistance and resistance to variations in temperature and position. Unlike certifications that test only the movement, these controls are carried out on the fully assembled watch. Each timepiece therefore undergoes almost six weeks of testing before leaving the Manufacture.

A new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is initially covered by a two-year international limited warranty. By registering an eligible watch through the Jaeger-LeCoultre Care Program, this coverage can be extended free of charge for up to eight years. The warranty covers manufacturing defects recognised by the Manufacture, in accordance with the conditions established by the Maison.
