Cocktail Time – The Inspiration

Iced and vibrant, the new “Frozen Cocktails” bring a refreshing summer breeze to the iconic Seiko Presage Cocktail Time series. Inspired by Japanese mixology and the creations of the legendary Star Bar in Tokyo’s Ginza district, these models translate the subtle art of cocktail-making into watchmaking form.

Developed under the “Daytime Cocktail Party” theme, the SRPL63J1 is part of a trio of timepieces inspired by frozen cocktails, designed with spring and summer in mind. It pays tribute to the “Frozen Mojito,” a refreshing blend of white rum, sugar, lime, sparkling water, and fresh mint, created by master bartender Hisashi Kishi — International Bar Association World Champion and officially recognized Contemporary Master Craftsman by the Japanese government.

Design & Dial

With its elegant 34 mm case, the SRPL63J1 combines harmonious proportions with understated sophistication. Its compact size enhances the watch’s refinement while ensuring excellent everyday comfort.

The mint green textured dial evokes the crushed ice of a frozen cocktail. Its pressed pattern creates subtle plays of light, adding depth and dimension to the surface. The fresh, luminous hue recalls mint leaves and lime zest, infusing the design with vibrant energy.

The signature wedge-shaped hour markers feature four genuine diamonds set at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. These sparkling accents add a refined touch of brilliance, perfectly balanced within the overall aesthetic.

The tapered multi-link stainless-steel bracelet, fully polished to a mirror finish, extends the fluidity of the case. The result is an elegant, modern, and radiant silhouette — a true embodiment of summer on the wrist.

Movement – Japanese Mechanical Precision

Beneath its luminous exterior, the Seiko Presage SRPL63J1 houses a fully mechanical movement: the in-house calibre 4R35.

Developed and manufactured by Seiko, this automatic movement reflects Japanese watchmaking expertise, renowned for reliability and robustness. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, ensuring a smooth and consistent sweep of the seconds hand.

Equipped with 23 jewels, the 4R35 offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve and can be manually wound when necessary. It also features a hacking function for precise time-setting, along with a date display positioned at 4:30 for practical everyday use.

Seiko states an accuracy range of +45 to -35 seconds per day, consistent with the standards for mechanical movements in this category.

Through this movement, the Presage Cocktail Time is more than just elegant — it affirms its mechanical legitimacy, staying true to the Presage promise: blending timeless aesthetics with dependable Japanese engineering.
