Since its inception, Presage has drawn inspiration from the creations of the legendary Star Bar in Tokyo’s sophisticated Ginza district — a true temple of Japanese cocktail culture.

This limited edition pays tribute to the “Sakura Aviation,” a floral and spring-inspired reinterpretation of the classic Aviation cocktail. Revisited with delicate cherry blossom notes, it embodies the elegance and poetry of the sakura season.

In Japan, cherry blossom blooms symbolize fleeting beauty, the celebration of the present moment, and renewal. Seiko translates this emotion into a mechanical timepiece where every detail evokes that light, luminous atmosphere.

Design & Dial – The Light of a Japanese Spring

The true expression of the SRPM06J1 lies in its iridescent pink mother-of-pearl dial. Unlike a simple lacquered surface, mother-of-pearl offers a living, ever-changing texture that reflects light differently depending on the angle and intensity. Each piece reveals unique nuances — from soft powder pink to almost opalescent highlights — reminiscent of cherry blossom petals carried by the wind.

The subtly textured surface enhances this visual depth, creating an organic and refined play of light. The overall impression is one of natural softness, never ostentatious, perfectly aligned with the Japanese aesthetic of controlled minimalism.

Developed and assembled internally by Seiko, this automatic movement embodies the Presage philosophy: delivering an authentic, reliable, and accessible mechanical watch without compromising on quality.

The 4R35 operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), providing a smooth sweep of the seconds hand. It is equipped with 23 jewels, reducing friction and enhancing long-term durability.

It offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve, allowing the watch to remain unworn for more than a full day without stopping. The movement also features:

• A hacking function for precise time-setting
• A date display at 3 o’clock for everyday practicality

Seiko states an accuracy range of +45 to -35 seconds per day — tolerances consistent with a mechanical movement in this category, designed above all for reliability and robustness.
