The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time collection draws its inspiration from Japanese cocktail culture and, more specifically, from the creations of the renowned Star Bar in Tokyo’s refined Ginza district. A true institution, the bar is celebrated for its exceptional mixology and the perfectionism of its master bartender, Hisashi Kishi, International Bar Association World Champion.

The SRPL61J1 belongs to the “Daytime Cocktail Party” theme, a series inspired by iced cocktails designed to evoke the freshness and lightness of sunny days. This particular model pays tribute to the “Frozen Skydiving,” a vibrant cocktail blending rum, Blue Curaçao, and lime, known for its bright azure tones.

Design & Dial – A Crystalline Freshness

With its compact 34 mm case, the Seiko Presage SRPL61J1 offers harmonious proportions, designed for both elegance and everyday comfort. Its restrained diameter enhances its refinement and highlights the balance of its lines.

The true focal point is its light blue textured dial, whose pressed pattern evokes the crushed ice of a frozen cocktail. Light diffuses subtly across its surface, creating shifting reflections reminiscent of a clear summer sky—a direct nod to the “Frozen Skydiving” cocktail that inspired it.

Developed and manufactured by Seiko, this automatic movement reflects Japanese watchmaking expertise, recognized for its reliability and robustness. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, ensuring a smooth and steady sweep of the seconds hand.

Equipped with 23 jewels, the 4R35 offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve and can be manually wound when needed. It also features a hacking function for precise time-setting, along with a date display at 3 o’clock for practical daily use.

Seiko states an accuracy range of +45 to -35 seconds per day, in line with the standards of mechanical movements in this category.
