This warm shade, somewhere between rosy copper and patinated orange, evokes the natural fabrics used for centuries in Japanese garment craftsmanship.

Its finely textured surface draws inspiration from woven silk, a noble material deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Slightly domed, the dial captures light with subtlety, creating changing visual depth depending on the viewing angle. The effect is alive, organic and almost textile-like.

The applied indexes, long and gently curved, follow the dial’s periphery. The Alpha-style hands, also subtly shaped, extend this harmony of lines while maximizing light reflection beneath the double-curved sapphire crystal. The minute track is positioned on a sloped inner flange, enhancing the sense of depth and refinement.

The SPB467J1 features a stainless steel case measuring 40.2 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness — perfectly balanced proportions for a watch with dressy intentions yet designed for everyday wear.

Its construction emphasizes soft curves and rounded surfaces. The subtly domed case middle flows naturally into a slim, gently curved bezel. This architecture visually minimizes thickness and reinforces the overall sense of fluidity.

The double-curved sapphire crystal follows the contours of the domed dial, enhancing depth and light reflections. An anti-reflective coating preserves legibility while highlighting the Araigaki dial’s texture.

The SPB467J1 is fitted with a multi-row stainless steel bracelet inspired by 1970s metal designs. Composed of seven rows of short links, it combines visual sophistication with exceptional wearing comfort.

The polished central links catch the light elegantly, while the satin-finished outer rows provide contrast and structure. Their slightly curved, almost organic shape allows the bracelet to conform naturally to the wrist. Each link, approximately 6 mm in length, ensures fluid articulation and reduces pressure points.

At the heart of the Seiko Presage Classic SPB467J1 beats the in-house 6R55 calibre, a modern evolution of the 6R family, designed to provide enhanced autonomy and daily reliability.

This automatic movement, assembled internally by Seiko, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and features 24 jewels. It delivers a comfortable 72-hour power reserve — a full three days of autonomy — a significant advantage for a watch intended to accompany a modern lifestyle. Set aside on Friday evening, it remains ready to wear on Monday morning.

The 6R55 also offers:

Seiko states an accuracy range of +25 / -15 seconds per day, consistent with its accessible in-house positioning.
