The history of Citizen began in Japan in 1918 with the establishment of the Shokosha Watch Research Institute. In 1924, the company introduced its first pocket watch, named “Citizen” to express the ambition of creating watches that could be widely used and cherished. In 1930, the company officially became Citizen Watch Company. Since then, the Japanese Manufacture has established itself through its industrial expertise, pursuit of precision and numerous watchmaking innovations.

The Promaster Marine range includes robust, highly legible diving watches, while Promaster Sky watches offer functions developed for travellers and aviation enthusiasts. Depending on the reference, Promaster models may feature automatic, Eco-Drive or radio-controlled movements, as well as specialised professional functions.

Super Titanium is an exclusive Citizen material created by treating titanium with the Manufacture’s proprietary Duratect surface-hardening technology. It retains the natural advantages of titanium, including its lightness, corrosion resistance and comfort against the skin, while offering greater resistance to scratches. Citizen Super Titanium watches are therefore particularly comfortable for everyday wear, even when presented in more substantial dimensions.

Since 1 October 2025, Citizen watches purchased from an authorised retailer have been covered by a three-year international Citizen warranty. This warranty covers eligible defects in accordance with the conditions established by the Manufacture. To remain valid, the warranty must be properly issued and include the purchase date and the details, stamp or signature of the authorised retailer.
