Within the Grand Seiko catalogue, the mechanical GMT from the Elegance collection occupies a distinctive place. The design, proportions and functions are deliberately left unchanged, preserving the model’s timeless character, while the new finishes bring a more contemporary and expressive reading.

The SBGM255 and SBGM257 faithfully reprise the emblematic case of the Elegance GMT, with a particularly well-balanced diameter of 39.5 mm on the wrist. Far from the more angular lines found on certain Grand Seiko icons, this case adopts a deliberately softer silhouette, characterised by rounded flanks, gently curved lugs and a harmonious visual presence, conceived for everyday elegance.

Crafted entirely in steel, the case features Zaratsu-polished surfaces applied with great restraint. The subtly angled bezel and discreet bevels on the lugs catch the light without ostentation, revealing the care devoted to surfaces and volumes.
