Design & Aesthetics

The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC939 impresses with a design that is both sporty and refined, directly inspired by the brand’s historic chronographs.

The dial features a sunray anthracite grey tone, subtly enlivened by metallic reflections that catch the light. Three contrasting black sub-dials complete the layout:

• at 6 o’clock, the 60-minute chronograph counter,
• at 9 o’clock, the 24-hour counter,
• at 12 o’clock, the solar power reserve indicator.

The applied indexes and faceted hands are coated with Lumibrite, ensuring excellent legibility even in low light. A slender blue central chronograph hand adds a dynamic, sporty touch to the ensemble.

The stainless steel case, with polished and brushed surfaces, displays balanced proportions: 41.4 mm in diameter, 13 mm thick, and 45.9 mm lug-to-lug.
