Taking inspiration from the Seamaster 007 and adding subtle touches of orange, this Diver 300M on a Milanese steel bracelet embodies the best of OMEGA: technical expertise, heritage, and sporting refinement.
A legend since 1993!
1993 is undoubtedly one of the most pivotal years in Omega’s history — it marked the debut of the very first Seamaster Diver 300M. This launch signaled Omega’s triumphant return to the world of dive watches and proved that the brand’s spirit of innovation was more alive than ever. Positioned at the time as a refined and luxurious diving instrument, it broke away from the utilitarian design codes of the earlier Seamaster 300 and 600 models. It represented something of a revolution. The aesthetic and technical developments of the 1990s inspired new designs and propelled Omega into the spotlight. The chronograph version even won "Watch of the Year" in 1994!
The launch of the Seamaster Diver 300M also coincided with a bold new marketing strategy for the brand, aimed at breaking records and establishing Omega as a modern icon with renewed ambition. Right from the start, the watch accompanied French freediver Roland Specker to a depth of 80 meters, setting a world record for freshwater free diving. In 1995, the model forged strong ties with the world of sailing, worn by Sir Peter Blake and the victorious New Zealand team during their unforgettable America's Cup win. But it was truly the film GoldenEye that elevated this watch to legendary status — for the first time, James Bond wore a Diver 300M on his wrist!
A vintage spirit… with strong 007 DNA
In 2024, OMEGA opened a new chapter in the Diver 300M story with the launch of an unprecedented series of “no-date” models, first spotted on the wrist of brand ambassador Daniel Craig. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the actor was seen wearing a black version on a steel bracelet — a moment that sparked worldwide interest among watch enthusiasts. These models represented a significant departure from the polished ceramic references of recent years, reviving the vintage and utilitarian spirit of the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition worn in No Time to Die.
Building on that momentum, the new Orange version revealed in 2025 continues the evolution. It retains the core design language of this new Seamaster generation, while injecting it with a burst of vibrant color — a hue that has long been a hallmark of OMEGA’s dive watches.
This 42 mm stainless steel model features a matte black oxalic anodized aluminium bezel fitted with a white Super-LumiNova dive scale. The case maintains all the signature elements of the Diver 300M line: lyre-shaped lugs, a conical helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, a screw-in crown with guards, and a domed sapphire crystal.
The sandblasted aluminium dial also forgoes the traditional wave pattern for a more minimalist, matte finish reminiscent of early Bond-era Seamasters. The rhodium-plated skeleton hands and applied hour markers — round or rectangular — are filled with white Super-LumiNova for maximum readability. Three vibrant orange accents bring the watch to life:
- The central “lollipop” seconds hand,
- The quarter-hour rectangular indices (12, 3, 6, 9 o’clock),
- The “Seamaster” name printed below the Omega logo.
The OMEGA logo itself is transferred in crisp white for a perfectly balanced visual identity.
This model also stands out for its satin-finished steel Milanese mesh bracelet, which is supple, robust, and elegant, equipped with a matching folding clasp. It gives the watch a more technical and discreet look, in a refined vintage spirit, while reinforcing its legitimacy as a true contemporary diver's watch.
The Omega Caliber 8806
This Diver 300M is powered by the in-house automatic Omega Caliber 8806, visible through the exhibition caseback. Equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, it delivers outstanding daily performance in a beautifully balanced package. The movement and watch are both certified as Master Chronometers by METAS, guaranteeing chronometric precision between 0 and +5 seconds per day. This movement is also resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, making it ideal for today’s tech-saturated environment. Its free-sprung balance with silicon hairspring beats at 25,200 vibrations per hour and offers a 55-hour power reserve.
