A timepiece made for exploration

Since 1944, the Ocean Star collection has been the playground of horological innovation by the House of Mido. Combining nautical performance and functional elegance, it finds new expression here in a vintage-inspired timepiece. This Ocean Star Worldtimer draws directly from the 1970s: a red and black checkered dial, vintage logo, glassbox-style domed sapphire crystal, and removable Bund strap pay tribute to the golden age of aviation and motorsports. It also features the collection’s emblem — the starfish engraved on the caseback — and is fitted with a 40.5 mm stainless steel case water-resistant to 200 m, true to the aquatic heritage of the Swiss Maison.

GMT functionality and next-generation movement

The black rotating bezel, marked with major world cities, enables easy tracking of time zones. A day-date display positioned at 3 o'clock adds useful information for world travelers. The watch is powered by an automatic movement offering up to 80 hours of power reserve. Diamond-cut hands and Super-LumiNova-coated indexes ensure optimal readability, even in low light. Finally, the black leather strap with red and white stitching offers two styles: a more classic look without the Bund underlayer, or a bolder aesthetic with it!
