A brief history

Launched in 1957, the Superocean professional diving watch was quickly adopted by recreational divers and gave rise to several generations of instruments with unparalleled aquatic performance. Today, BREITLING has preserved the spirit of the original model in a line called “Superocean Heritage,” which is now one of the brand's flagship collections, thanks to its unique and timeless look combined with cutting-edge technology.

This collection was launched in 2007 to mark the 50th anniversary of this pioneer of the great outdoors. BREITLING has revitalized its iconic design while retaining its distinctive character. The Heritage is not a simple reproduction of the original Superocean model, but rather a reinterpretation with a look that is more timeless than retro. It features the original “Superocean” logo and uniquely shaped hands! As on the 1957 model, the hour hand has a large arrow-shaped tip, while the minute hand is shaped like a sword.

A 46 mm diameter automatic chronograph

This “Superocean Heritage” is a 46 mm chronograph with a magnificent blue sunray dial and a Milanese mesh steel bracelet, which echoes the legendary braided style of the 1957 model. The steel case with screw-down crown is water-resistant to 200 m. The unidirectional rotating bezel, with a luminescent dot at 12 o'clock, is equipped with a 120-click system ensuring very precise handling and great flexibility of rotation.

In terms of performance, the Superocean Heritage retains all the technical qualities that have made it the companion of choice for the most exciting adventures on land, at sea, and in the air. This watch is powered by a Breitling 13 caliber, a self-winding chronograph movement certified as a chronometer.

The package

This Superocean Heritage Chronograph reference A1332016, produced in 2013, is in remarkable condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. It comes with a full set, including its original case, manual, and warranty card dated 2013.
