The backstory

Launched in 1957, the professional diving watch “Superocean” was quickly adopted by recreational diving enthusiasts, giving rise to several generations of instruments with outstanding underwater performance. Today, BREITLING has preserved the spirit of the original model in a line called “Superocean Heritage,” now one of the brand’s flagship collections thanks to its unique and timeless design combined with cutting-edge technology.

This collection was introduced in 2007 to mark the 50th anniversary of this pioneer of the deep. BREITLING revitalized its iconic design while preserving its distinctive character. The Heritage is not a simple reproduction of the original Superocean model, but rather a reinterpretation with a more timeless than retro appearance. It features the original “Superocean” logo as well as uniquely shaped hands. As on the 1957 model, the hour hand has a large arrow-shaped tip, while the minute hand takes on a sword-like form.

The movement

At the heart of this Superocean Heritage beats the Breitling B20 calibre, a manufacture automatic movement renowned for its precision and robustness. Developed in collaboration with Tudor, this high-end calibre is built on a proven architecture, ensuring top-tier chronometric performance.

COSC-certified as a chronometer, the B20 meets the most demanding standards of precision. It offers a comfortable power reserve of approximately 70 hours, allowing the watch to be set aside for several days without interrupting its operation.

The package

This Breitling Superocean Heritage B20 Automatic 42 reference AB2010161C1A1, dating from 2023, is presented in perfect condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. It is delivered with its original box as well as its Breitling warranty card dated 2023.
