The history of Baume & Mercier began in 1830 in the Swiss Jura, when Louis Joseph Baume opened a watchmaking counter in the village of Les Bois. In 1918, William Baume joined forces with Paul Mercier, before officially founding Baume & Mercier in Geneva in 1920. Since then, the Maison has perpetuated a vision of Swiss watchmaking based on precision, elegance and harmonious proportions.

The Baume & Mercier Clifton is designed for watch enthusiasts seeking a refined dress watch with understated, contemporary elegance. The collection is characterised by harmoniously curved cases, well-balanced dials and meticulous finishes. Selected Clifton models are powered by the Baumatic manufacture movement, renowned in particular for its five-day power reserve.

The Baume & Mercier Classima collection is ideal for anyone looking for a classic, versatile and easy-to-wear Swiss watch. Its round cases, refined dials and timeless lines allow it to complement both professional attire and more relaxed outfits. The collection includes both automatic and quartz models.

The Baume & Mercier Hampton is immediately recognisable by its rectangular, subtly curved case, designed to sit comfortably on the wrist. Inspired by historic creations from the Maison, the collection combines architectural lines, Art Deco elegance and refined simplicity. Its different dimensions make it suitable for a wide variety of wrists.

The Baumatic movement is a self-winding mechanical manufacture movement developed to deliver performance, reliability and everyday comfort. It offers a power reserve of 120 hours, equivalent to five full days, as well as enhanced resistance to the magnetic fields encountered in daily life. This calibre powers selected models from the Clifton and Riviera collections.

A Baume & Mercier watch purchased from an authorised retailer is covered by a 24-month international warranty. Eligible Clifton and Riviera watches equipped with a Baumatic movement may benefit from an additional six-year warranty extension, bringing the total coverage period to eight years. The watch must be registered within 60 days of purchase, subject to the conditions established by the Maison.
