For the Little Story

The pear cut is recognisable by its elegant shape, combining the roundness of the brilliant cut with the elongated point of the marquise cut. It brings exceptional brilliance to gemstones while lending a delicate and feminine appearance to the jewel. This cut was created in the 15th century by the Flemish cutter Lodewyk van Berquem in Bruges. At the time, it was known as the "briolette" cut, with facets covering the entire stone to maximise its brilliance.
