The story behind the piece

To preserve the brilliance and whiteness of white gold, each piece is carefully immersed in a rhodium bath during a process called “rhodium plating.” This technique consists of depositing, through electrolysis, a thin layer of rhodium on the surface of the jewel. A rare metal with a silvery-white tone, rhodium is known for its exceptional hardness and outstanding resistance to corrosion. Mainly used as an alloy with platinum, it provides creations with a bright and long-lasting finish.

With the Jolie-Rose solitaire, we imagined a creation inspired by springtime, filled with freshness and poetry. Our master jewellers chose to combine contrasting shapes, where the brilliant-cut emerald, delicately held by four prongs, blossoms at the heart of a square setting. The stone’s brilliance is enhanced by a grain-set diamond surround, punctuated with fine gold beads that blend into a multitude of luminous reflections. Combining comfort and refinement, this engagement ring evokes a flower gently opening, revealing at its heart the full intensity of its emerald.
