The Story

Founded in 1990 in Glashütte, Saxony, Nomos belongs to the new generation of German manufactures that emerged after the reunification of the country. In just a few decades, the brand has established itself as one of the most recognizable names in contemporary watchmaking, thanks to a minimalist style strongly inspired by the Bauhaus school.

The Model

The Nomos Orion 38 first captivates through the purity of its design. Its polished 38 mm stainless steel case displays particularly elegant proportions, with a restrained thickness that reinforces its discreet and refined presence on the wrist. The long, slender lugs — a signature of the Orion collection — visually extend the watch and contribute to its harmonious balance.

Introduced in the early 2000s, it was the first movement developed and produced in-house by Nomos and has since become the cornerstone of many collections within the manufacture.

This calibre stands out for its remarkable thinness, measuring only 2.6 mm in height, allowing the watch to maintain an exceptionally elegant profile on the wrist. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offers approximately 43 hours of power reserve.

Faithful to the watchmaking traditions of Glashütte, the movement features a typically German architecture with a three-quarter plate, blued screws and delicate Glashütte ribbing decoration. It is also regulated in six positions and includes a stop-seconds mechanism, allowing precise time setting.

The Package

This Nomos Orion 38 is in excellent condition and was originally sold in 2022. It comes with its original box and warranty card.
