With the tactix® 8, Garmin once again pushes the boundaries of the tactical smartwatch. Designed for professionals, seasoned adventurers and performance-driven users, it combines military-grade durability with a modern, highly legible interface, powered by an ultra-bright 1.4″ AMOLED display.

Its 51 mm case brings together a titanium bezel, a sapphire crystal and a green Cerakote® coating, renowned for its enhanced resistance to wear, impacts and extreme conditions. A watch built to last, both in the field and in everyday use.

Advanced tactical features and high-precision navigation

The tactix® 8 integrates a comprehensive set of dedicated tactical functions, including stealth mode, kill switch, compatibility with night vision goggles, waypoint projection, dual-format GPS coordinates and a dedicated rucking activity profile.

It also features the preloaded Applied Ballistics Ultralight™ calculator, providing aiming solutions for long-range shooting. For navigation, the multi-band GPS with SatIQ™ technology, combined with a 3-axis electronic compass, barometric altimeter and gyroscope, delivers extremely accurate positioning while optimising battery life.

Water-rated to 100 metres, the tactix® 8 includes freediving and scuba diving functions up to 40 m, further expanding its range of capabilities. It also supports a wide variety of sports, including trail running, running, cycling, strength training, skiing, golf and many more activity profiles.

Advanced performance tools — VO2 Max, endurance score, ClimbPro, PacePro™, daily suggested workouts — help optimise progress while reducing the risk of overtraining.

In everyday use, the tactix® 8 also focuses on health monitoring: wrist-based heart rate, sleep tracking, HRV status, pulse oximetry, Body Battery™, morning report and sleep coaching provide a comprehensive overview of fitness, recovery and wellbeing.

With up to 29 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, supported by an advanced power management system, it proves to be a reliable long-term companion.
