The story behind the piece

Green sapphire is a variety of corundum, a gemstone mainly composed of aluminium oxide. Its green colour comes from traces of iron present during its formation.

Less well known than the blue sapphire, it is nevertheless highly valued in jewellery for its understated elegance and rarity.

The jeweller’s word

The work consisted of filing the notches of the prongs so that the stone could fit perfectly and securely into place.

The setting was then completed using a setting hammer to firmly press each prong against the stone. Once bent over, the prongs were gently rounded into small beads, enhancing the diamond’s brilliance. The chain passes through a simple rounded bail, ensuring optimal hold. Thanks to its adjustable chain, this elegant necklace easily adapts to all your outfits.
