The story

In the 1960s, as scuba diving became a true popular passion, Oris made its mark by launching its first mechanical dive watches — robust, legible, and accessible timepieces designed to accompany a new generation of explorers. More than half a century later, the brand revisits this heritage through the Divers Sixty-Five collection, a direct tribute to the 1965 originals.
This line celebrates all the charm of a creative and optimistic era, while combining it with today’s Swiss expertise. With the Divers Date, Oris brings back the spirit of the “Swinging Sixties” in a watch that is both vintage at heart and modern in execution.

The model

With its 39 mm stainless steel case, the Oris Divers Date ref. 01 733 7795 4055-Set combines vintage charm with contemporary style. Inspired by the historic 1965 diver’s watch, it retains the clean lines and distinctive silhouette of the early Divers Sixty-Five models, while integrating refined technical and aesthetic upgrades.
The unidirectional bezel, precisely notched and pleasant to handle, features a black ceramic insert that resists scratches and fading. Water-resistant to 200 meters, the watch remains true to Oris’s commitment to reliability and functionality.

The deep petrol-blue dial subtly catches the light. Its glossy finish evokes the industrial dive watches of the sixties, while the applied beveled markers and custom-designed typography give the piece a distinctly retro character. The ensemble is protected by a domed sapphire crystal — a deliberate nod to the plexiglass of vintage models.

On the wrist, the riveted-style stainless steel bracelet, slightly refined, enhances the balance of the design. Thanks to its quick-change system, it can easily be swapped for the included black rubber tropic strap — a more casual alternative faithful to the spirit of leisure diving that inspired the original model.

Inside beats the Oris Calibre 733, based on the Sellita SW200-1. This reliable automatic movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 41-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire caseback, it reveals the brand’s signature red rotor — a hallmark of Oris craftsmanship. The package

This Oris Divers Date ref. 01 733 7795 4055-Set was sold by us in January 2025 and is presented today in excellent condition. It has undergone a full inspection in our workshops, ensuring perfect operation and water resistance.
The watch comes with its original box, papers, and warranty card dated January 2025.
