Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer "Night Navigation" Vector automatic black dial steel bracelet 40 mm
- Limited edition
An instrumental and discreet Worldtimer, the Club Sport Worldtimer Vector pays tribute to nighttime aviation, combining legibility, elegance, and exclusivity in a slim and robust 40 mm case.
Introduction & Collection Spirit
Within the Night Navigation trilogy, the Vector embodies the most understated and technical approach, inspired by aviation navigation instruments and the discreet glow of cockpit lights at night.
Like the Trace and Grid models, it combines the 40 mm stainless-steel case with a slim 9.9 mm profile, a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown, delivering robustness and comfort for modern travelers, with 10 ATM water-resistance suited for daily wear and journeys abroad.
This limited edition of 175 pieces stands out with its black sunray-brushed galvanized dial, punctuated by printed numerals and hour markers coated in ecru Super-LumiNova, recalling the functional legibility of cockpit instruments.
The rhodium-plated hour and minute hands are filled with pale-yellow Super-LumiNova, while the bright orange 24-hour home-time hand and the city-selector marker at 2 o’clock provide an energetic, practical visual accent.
On the caseback, the engraving “Limited Edition – Vector 1/175” highlights its rarity and collector’s appeal.
The in-house DUW 3202 calibre (4.8 mm), visible through the sapphire caseback, powers the Worldtimer and 24-hour home-time functions with day/night indication, featuring bidirectional winding, the NOMOS Swing System, adjustment in six positions and a 42-hour power reserve — a hallmark of Glashütte, combining finesse and precision.
Design & Aesthetic Details
More discreet and utilitarian than the other two variants, the Vector adopts a restrained, instrument-like color palette directly inspired by airplane cockpits.
Its black sunray-brushed galvanized dial is accented by printed numerals and hour markers in ecru Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal legibility in the dark while maintaining a professional, understated appearance.
The rhodium-plated hands, filled with pale-yellow Super-LumiNova, add a subtle yet effective layer of contrast.
The bright orange 24-hour home-time hand and the city-selector marker at 2 o’clock offer a striking counterpoint, evoking the luminous signals of aviation navigation and emphasizing the watch’s functional character.
The slightly bluish domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal enhances the sunray texture of the dial and highlights its indications, while the transparent sapphire caseback reveals the finely decorated movement in keeping with the traditions of Saxon watchmaking.
Movement & Technical Performance
At the heart of the Vector beats the in-house DUW 3202 calibre, designed and produced by NOMOS in Glashütte.
This automatic movement, remarkably thin at just 4.8 mm, integrates the Worldtimer function directly, avoiding any additional module and preserving the watch’s sleek profile.
The local-time adjustment is operated via the pusher at 2 o’clock, which advances the peripheral ring of 24 cities (IATA codes).
The reference or home time remains visible on the 24-hour sub-dial at 3 o’clock, indicated by the orange hand, while the day/night indicator prevents confusion between AM and PM.
A small-seconds display is located at 6 o’clock.
Technically, the DUW 3202 features the NOMOS Swing System (the brand’s in-house escapement and balance spring), a transverse balance bridge, a hacking seconds mechanism, and adjustment in six positions.
Its 42-hour power reserve is sufficient to power the watch through a long weekend of travel without winding.
The finishing visible through the sapphire caseback — Glashütte ribbing, perlage and blued screws — reflects NOMOS’s dedication to traditional watchmaking craftsmanship, contrasting with the watch’s more contemporary, utilitarian dial design.
Limited Edition & Exclusivity
The Vector is the most understated of the three Night Navigation models, appealing to enthusiasts of understated, highly legible tool watches.
It attracts collectors who appreciate the balance between functionality, instrument-inspired aesthetics, and fine watchmaking heritage.
Like the other two models in the trilogy (Trace and Grid), the Vector is limited to only 175 pieces, enhancing its rarity and desirability.
The success of the first Worldtimer editions launched in spring 2025 — now nearly sold out — adds further appeal to this new series for travel enthusiasts and fans of practical complications.
The screw-down sapphire caseback, engraved “Limited Edition – Vector 1/175,” underlines this exclusive, collector’s status and illustrates NOMOS’s ability to step away from its traditional Bauhaus aesthetic to offer a more tactical and functional vision of the travel watch, without compromising the mechanical rigor and artisanal expertise of Glashütte.
