The Legacy of the Tsuyosa: From the NH299 to the New 37mm Version

The Tsuyosa collection, whose name means "strength" in Japanese, finds its roots in Citizen’s NH299 line, an emblematic range that marked the brand’s history in the late 1990s. The NH299 models already stood out for their use of stainless steel, a symbol of robustness and elegance, and laid the foundation for what would later become the Tsuyosa collection.

The Tsuyosa line has been modernized while preserving the luxurious spirit of its predecessors. The case was first enlarged to 40 mm, offering a stronger presence on the wrist. This year, Citizen introduces a new 37 mm version, more compact and unisex, which retains the same aesthetic and functional codes.

Faithful to the DNA of the Tsuyosa, the 37 mm models offer a minimalist design and the same features as the 40 mm version, making them the perfect daily watch: a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, 5-bar water resistance, a magnifier over the date for optimal legibility, a discreet crown for absolute comfort, and a stainless steel bracelet with smooth links that hug the wrist.
