In 2022, Oris surprised the watchmaking world with the first New York Harbor Limited Edition, an Aquis Date with a sea-green mother-of-pearl dial paying tribute to the Billion Oyster Project, a pioneering initiative dedicated to restoring the marine ecosystems of New York Harbor. The success was immediate: a watch praised both for its distinctive aesthetics and for its powerful symbolism.
Building on that enthusiasm, the Swiss brand returns in 2025 with the New York Harbor Limited Edition II, a new series limited to 2,000 numbered pieces. More than a watch, it is a manifesto for cleaner oceans, bridging fine watchmaking with environmental commitment.

A unique and ever-changing design

The eye is immediately drawn to the genuine mother-of-pearl dial, whose shades of sea-green and turquoise shift with the light. Each piece is unique, echoing the diversity and delicate beauty of marine ecosystems. The texture directly recalls the oyster shell, a nod to the mission of the Billion Oyster Project.
The 43.5 mm stainless steel case asserts itself as a true professional diver: a unidirectional rotating bezel with raised minute scale, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, screw-down crown, and water resistance to 300 meters. The watch comes fitted with a multi-link steel bracelet and is delivered with an additional sea-green rubber strap with folding clasp, offering the choice between urban elegance and sporty spirit.

At the heart of this edition beats the automatic Oris Calibre 733, built on a proven robust architecture. It powers the central hands for hours, minutes, and seconds, along with an instantaneous date window at 6 o’clock. Featuring stop-seconds and fine adjustment, it offers a 41-hour power reserve. Each sale contributes to funding the Billion Oyster Project, which has already reintroduced over 150 million oysters into New York Harbor. These natural reefs, true “underwater forests,” can filter up to 190 liters of water per oyster per day, while providing shelter for marine biodiversity and acting as natural barriers against storms.
