The marine world has always been a profound source of inspiration for TAG Heuer. In 1895, the brand laid the foundations by filing a patent for a water-resistant case. Over the decades, it refined its technical expertise: from the Solunar (1949), the first tide watch, to the Mareograph (1950), and regatta timers such as the legendary Skipper.

In 1982, TAG Heuer launched the 2000 collection, the first line dedicated to water sports, designed by Jack Heuer himself. It foreshadowed the birth of the Aquaracer collection, which today continues this heritage with models that meet the six fundamental criteria of a true professional diving watch: sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, water resistance to 300 meters, luminescent hour markers, unidirectional bezel, and bracelet with diving extension.

Officially introduced in 2004, the Aquaracer line immediately established itself as the ultimate instrument watch for water sports, with a design conceived for extreme conditions. Its unidirectional bezel with facets and lugs, which quickly became its aesthetic signature, ensures excellent grip even when wearing gloves. The screw-down case back, water resistance guaranteed to 300 meters, and generous use of Super-LumiNova on the hands and hour markers reinforce its ultra-technical character. The CAY2112.BA0927 model has a strong presence thanks to its 43 mm diameter steel case and iconic bezel. Its deep blue dial, animated by raised horizontal lines, evokes the waves on the surface. Three chronograph counters add rhythm and enhance readability, while the faceted hour markers and luminescent hands ensure perfect readability, even in the depths. The overall effect is sporty chic. This watch is powered by the Calibre 16 movement, which offers a power reserve of around 40 hours and is equipped with an hour counter at 6 o'clock, a small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, and a minute counter at 12 o'clock. A date window is located at 3 o'clock.
